If you like American-style target golf it's highly likely you'll be in your element at The Vale Golf Club. The golf course is just over 15 years old and to be honest is still maturing. The layout itself is fairly unimaginative but a key feature of the golf course are the massive receptive greens - they're pretty easy to hit, provided you can negotiate the barrage of bunkers - and water - protecting them that is. Mind you, the practice facilities are pretty good so you can warm up properly. No excuses then. Golf World Best 1000 Courses in Britain & Ireland 2004.
