Nestling on the shores of the Moray Firth this Traditional Scottish Golf Links Course was created from a Highland wilderness of gorse and heather, and tests the talents of professional and amateur alike. Founded in 1887, it is now one of the best courses in Scotland, and has hosted a large number of important championships.
The Nairn Golf Club has now been awarded No 25 in the definitive list of the Top 100 Courses in Britian & Ireland 2008/2009.

Golf World Expert Review

Second in the Highland pecking order to Dornoch is the beautiful and somewhat unusual course at Nairn. The 1999 Walker Cup venue is a stunning and spectacular course, with beautiful views from almost every hole – but it’s not a normal links. After the fine opening stretch of classic seaside holes over the first seven the course begins to comprise ditches and decidedly un-linksy deciduous trees. Old Tom Morris and James Braid are among the talented many to have had a hand in sculpting the course and, with greens the envy of the rest of Britain and Ireland, it’s another must play.
