Course information

The golf course was designed by the Welsh Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas, who has been responsible for several renowned golf courses, including the Brabazon at the Belfry. It is a good test for golfers of all levels and is always in excellent condition.

It plays well all the year round, even in winter, as temporary greens are never used. From the White Tees the golf course is over 7,100 yards (6,490 metres) long, and presents a stiff challenge for low handicap golfers. At some 500 yards (457 metres) shorter, the golf course off the Yellow Tees is a fair test for higher handicap players, making it eminently suitable for society and corporate events.

The golf course consists of two halves that are very different in character; the front nine is undulating on higher ground and has stunning views over the surrounding countryside, while the back nine is classic parkland, with an abundance of beautiful trees and water hazards. As well as the outstanding golf course, those playing golf at Donnington Grove have full use of the driving range.
