Set in 250 acres of downland overlooking Winchester, this James Braid design is perfect for a winter round due to the free-draining chalk ground which ensures bounce and run all-year round. The wind is a major factor on every hole, especially after you have ascended through the first four holes set in a deep valley. Long dogleg and uphill par-4s contribute the strongest holes, although the four one shotters also offer stern tests.
