Ping Vs Mizuno

Hello everyone first post, any way i am looking at new irons, and have narrowed it down to 3, ping i15, mizuno mx 200 or 300. Have hit the pings and they feel ok, going to mizuno in wrexham for a fitting on the 1st dec. Just looking for opinions never had pings before or mizunos, been plying TM. My handicap is 18 at the moment, any one got any views on these brands quality wise.

Thanks Andy.

Your Personal Improvement plan

Hi, looking around at leat two of us, handicapchris and myself have put in place game improvement plans targetted to reduce our handicaps by the end of next year. Chris has made a very valid point about this see :Golf/Forums/Forums/Categories/Topic/?topic-id=11010&message-id=12886&__ia=message12886#message12886.

That is the pro needs to be seen by you as part of your team that is working to lower your handicap. If youv'e seen my post elsewhere about grips I fired my teacher ( beginning to sound like  tiger) and have gone to a new teacher.  My main reason was I no longer trusted the previous guy as he had ...

Revive Forum

Why doesn't this forum make a section with subjects from the magazine?

This would give more people a chance to voice their opinion with more topics to talk about instead of people having to think them up. This would cause more posts hense reviving the forum.

Hello all,

Very shortly we are going to be privileged enough to have Mr Nike Golf himself, Tom Stites, live on this forum to answer all your equipment-related questions.

Tom is Nike's head of product creation and many of you have already pre-submitted questions which we will be asking throughout his 45-minute appearance here. However, if you are logged in live feel free to pitch in with your own questions and Tom will do his best to get through them all.

In addition, afterwards Tom will pick his favourite questions and whoever asked it will win a Nike Method putter.

Who'll Win The Masters If Tiger Can't Come Out To Play?

It's not long until the Masters and Tiger still hasn't come out from hibernation. If he doesn't trap who is going to win? My favourites to do the job are below.

1 Paul Casey

2 Rory McIlroy

3 Ernie Els

Every tournament between now and Augusta readies for Tiger

Nobody knows when Tiger will return, but every tournament between now and Augusta is getting ready, just in case they draw the golden ticket.

Amid reports that Woods has been spotted working with swing coach Hank Haney, tournament organizers are scrambling to prepare for a media onslaught unlike any they've ever seen before. And while we don't know if Tiger will return at Bay Hill in a couple weeks, or at the Transitions or Houston Open -- or, indeed, if he'll return at all anytime soon -- planners have to get ready for the possibility.

"Historically, he hasn’t played ...

practice schedule

just wondered how other people are practicing in terms of format.

time and time again i go to the range and observe all sorts of various practice methods (alignment sticks, 3 ball drills, one handed swings, mirrors to name a few).  i am curious to get an idea of what format people are using in their practice when they go to the range/practice area?? are people hitting a couple of focuses (range and the putting green) or are people splitting them?

personally i am getting to the range twice a week for about 150 - 200 balls a time.  i ...

Ping Eye2 problem solved

At last Ping and PGA Tour have sorted out the Eye2 farce. From the end of March the pre 1990 Eye2 wedges that some pro's have been using will not be legal for use on the PGA Tour. It was about time Ping and the PGA Tour sorted it out, it is just a shame that the Tour didn't go straight to Ping when they announced this two years ago and sorted it out then.

3 Steps leads a good putt

Studies show that about 43% of all the golf shots you hit are putts. Of those, the vast
majority are likely within 15 feet of the hole for the average golfer. Obviously, you know how important putting is to your score. only one way to improve your score. That is by making more putts
Step One
Line Up Your Golf Ball
Think about like this. If you do not use a line on the ball to line up on your target line, there is no other visual reference. The line doesn't exist and you are left ...
