Prorider electric trolley

Looking to get the Prorider electric golf trolley from Prorider Mobility. Doed anyone have experience of this trolley and/or company. Also looking at Protrolley, does any have any views on their electric trolleys ?

Thanks

I've never heard of either of them before. Prorider seems like a to good to be true deal. but like everything it really is how much profit you want to make. Lets face it there is no way Motocaddy & Powakaddy cost as much as they charge. One question I must ask, how can they have run out of the 2011 model by the 12th of January? Hopefully someone on here has one and can give you some more advice.

Re: Prorider electric trolley

Hi, ronnie golfer

At this price this trolley can only be manufactured in one place i.e. China. that is why they don't have any stock ( probably bought a few to see how it went if in fact they have had any at all.

Before you buy one I suggest you ask  the people in Leicester exactly how much they have invested in spare parts and don't be fobbed off by claims of superior reliability. E.g. they should have spare wheels / clutches  off the shelf plus the fancy  circuit board in the handle, plus the motor controller  , bag support etc ... plus how long the parts are likely to be available.

That is why people buy powakaddy you can still properly repair  their trollies when they are over 10 years old.  Its one of the reasons  they cost more because holding parts inventory and ensuring parts are downward compatible costs... but in my opinion its worth it.

Regards scottyfan

Pro Rider Golf Trolleys

Great forum by the way. I purchased 6 of these Pro Rider trolleys for my golf society at Glen Gorse in February. We have all been very happy with them and regards to the availability of parts we collected the trolleys from their service centre which had what seemed like loads of engineers and racks and racks of parts so they definately have all the required parts. I researched Pro Rider before buying and they seem to be very big in the mobility scooter and electric bike world so I can only presume with that manufacturing experience they must know how to build a decent trolley. I asked them why the prices were so cheap and the showroom chap told me that unlike the other brands they only sell to the public and not via the pro shops or golf shops - hence we are paying factory prices. I had a Powakaddy for 4 years and had terrible trouble with it. I have had this one for 5 months and have been delighted so far as have my society colleagues. I would be interested to know if anyone has one of their bikes as I am very interested to hear any feedback on them.

Hi ronniegolfer,

Like golfmad4567 I have had a Pro Rider golf trolley for 6 months now and have not had a single fault with it. They advertise the battery will do 36 holes this is very true and I've had 54 holes between charges with mine and thats not playing on a billiard table of a golf course either (Marlborough GC and OgbourneSt George GC Wiltshire). I'm very satisfied with the trolley can't vouch for the after sales support as I've not need to use it.I hope this helps.

I have just discovered the Pro Rider electric golf trolley and it looks good. Read some comments written earlier this year. Does anybody have any recent feedback.? Am reluctant to spend £300/£400 on Motocaddy or Hill Billy if Pro Rider will do the job and you get lots of extras included.

I can't say anything about the Prorider, although I have had some feed back from Scottyfan who rates the Power Bug from AG and the GoKart trolley seems to have a loyal following on some other forums with a good guarantee and customer service. You may want to have a look at them.

i noticed that you ordered the pro golf trolley  in february. Can you tell me how they have performed to date, as i am thinking of buyin one. I have not been playing long and the course i play on  has many inclines, so a robust model would be required would be happy with any advice.

Re: Prorider electric trolley

I have had a Prorider trolley for about 6 months and played 3 times a week without any problems, however the stitching on the carrying handle of the battery gave way after only 10 days fortunately it just missed my foot whilst lifting it from the car. The battery is very good and will do 54 holes. This trolley has 5 gears but no variable speed and I find that 1st and 2nd are too slow and 4& 5 are too fast. gear 3 is fine on my course on inclines but not when going downhill when I then swich the power off and just push it . It does push very easily though. I bought this trolley as I live very close to the showroom and workshop and have not had to go back

Re: Prorider electric trolley

Me and a friend bought two and both run perfectly and comfortably get through two rounds without charging in between.

It's definitely a lot better than my old powakaddy :)
