Golf Packages Algarve

I am thinking of booking a golf package in the Algarve with Pestana Golf. They are offering prices for accommodation that include unlimited golf. Has anyone been on these golf packages to the Algarve?

They are here at http://www.pestanagolf.com/golf-packages-algarve-2012.html

I am wanting to go with a group in February, do you know Algarve well?

let me know

Pattaya Golf Breaks

Morning folks,

Just thought I would share a new website I have produced pattayagolfbreaks.co.uk

We are offering Villas located in the heart of the Pattaya Golf Strip in Thailand. Prices starting at £200 per week.

There are some cracking courses out there, all beautiful and challenging. Some designed by Jack Nicklaus and the likes.

Take a look. Any feedback on the site and what you would like to see on offer would be most appreciated.

New course in Leicestershire/Warwickshire

Just thought i'd mention a new course i've played in market bosworth. It's still unfinished but is challenging and at £15 for 18 holes is a bargin. Currently only 13 holes are open and you replay 5 from different tees. Me and a friend played on saturday in the rain and pretty much had the course to ourselves very enjoyable. www.kyngsgolfandcountryclub.co.uk. Wish i could afford to be a member my advice is give it a try.

discounta

It really is bad that there are discounts offered for juniors and over 60`s which i think is great but the people that need it most dont get ANY discounts. That of course is unemployed people and people that are sick and unable to work. I find it so strange that in this time where people are in a bad way that this extra help is not available. Im not talking about a everyday thing but why cant say on a weeday once a week they have a day where people not working can play for a fiver ? This ...

Scottish Borders

Well folks I have just booked my tee times for my golfing holiday later this year in the Scottish borders.

For me, this offers fantastic value for money as the B&B's are cheap and using the Freedom of the Fairways voucher means I can play up to 10 courses for £130.

I really recommend going up there for a holiday as the courses are excellent, as long as you can convince the mrs you can sneak away for a week as it doesn't cost too much money!

Anyone else been/going up there?

Brilliant Golf Break in the French Alps

Just returned from a golf break in the magnificent French Alps that i would highly recomend to anyone. Flying into Geneva airport we then based ourselves at Morzine a great alpine town with lots of good bars, restuarants and activities for all ages.

We based ourselves in a brilliant catered chalet www.themountainlodgecompany.com on a half board basis and the evening meals were fantastic with ample wine provided into you board costs. The owners Richard and Karen are great hosts and provide great accomodation and hopitality. Top venue for a truly social group.

With Richard's help we played some fantastic golf ...

La Manga

I have just returned from 10 days at La Manga. What used to be the best Golf Resort in Europe, where I have been 6 or 7 times, is now, in my opinion, nothing but a rip off!

The electric trolleys at €19.00 are the same ones I had 8 years ago and you are lucky to get one that goes straight and has any straps to secure your bag (take your own bungees if you go). The ride on buggy at €51.00 is ...
