The difficult second set!

Hi all.

I've been playing occasionally for a couple of years now with my Wilson starter set. This got me into the game quickly and relatively cheaply (in golf terms) and has served me well. Now I find that I've got the golf bug, have joined a society and am looking to make 2012 'the year of golf'.

With that in mind, I'm looking to purchase a new set of irons - ones that will last me another 3 years but also provide good game improvement support, whilst I improve my own skills, during that time. I'm currently playing off ...

Starting out...

Hi all, I started playing last year and managed to get about 5-6 rounds in after the bug bit me last summer. I've had the winter off (apart from some home putting practice on carpet) and I'm looking to have a good go at playing properly now. I have some money saved up for a few lessons and will be playing once a weekend and practicing once in the week at the range. Is there any other advice that you have to start me off on the right track?

Arm in the slot

 Probably cover loads but here goes. I get into a pretty good position at the top with a decent back swing but I seem to to be really throwing my right shoulder out in the down swing causing the dreaded out to in path which is resulting in a shocking slice. I read Sergio's article a couple of issues back about felling like you start with pulling your arms down but to be totally honest (I'm probably being completly dense) I just dont get it. the right clubs or not?

 hello everyone i have a problem, i was a 22handicap playing with mizuno mx19 irons but could'nt break the 90 barrier so decided to get some new irons went to direct golf and tried 1 or 2 differant iron sets r11's mizumo mp range and hit them quite well and straight but he said to me about the Adams A4R irons hit them straight and about 10-20 yards further so i had them fitted for me at 2deg flatter, went out for the first round shoot 89 second round 87 and now im 19 handicap iv been playing with them ...
