Handicaps

When we look at the handicap system ther is a maximoum for men of 28 strokes and for women of 36. This I guess is because difference in stature and anatomical make up, which inturn gives a loss inpower equating to a reduction in distance.

As a senior I have been aware of a falling off of power due to the effects of anno domini, eg 5 years ago I could easily carry 25Kg in each hand now I struggle to carry 25Kg in two hands!

Seve has "12-hour brain operation"

Seve Ballesteros has undergone a 12-hour operation on a brain tumour, according to Spanish newspapers. Seve, 51,  had the operation yesterday.
