We’ve teamed up with Spain’s world-famous La Manga resort to offer you the chance to win a dream golf trip there this year.
One lucky reader will win a luxury five-night holiday for two, staying at the five-star La Manga Club Principe Felipe Hotel and including one round of golf per person per night, complimentary access to Spa La Manga Club’s indoor pool and gym as well as a daily buffet breakfast.
American property magnate Gregory Peters was the man behind the resort, which first opened in 1972. Gary Player was the resort’s first director of golf and Seve Ballesteros its touring professional. Now, 37 years after it first opened, La Manga Club is widely recognised as Spain’s flagship resort and one of the finest in the world thanks to three outstanding championship courses. The 7,107-yard South Course has wide, palm-fringed fairways, and features water hazards on 15 holes while the shorter North Course is drier but has tighter fairways and larger greens.
The West is very different, situated in pine woodland and with significant changes in elevation and stunning views.
Practice facilities include a par-47, 18-hole pitch-and-putt course, an 80-bay driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.
La Manga Club is situated in the Murcia region of south-east Spain on a 560-hectare estate. It boasts a huge variety of amenities, including a centrally located five-star hotel, luxury apartments and 450 hectares of sports facilities. These incude a 28-court tennis centre, a host of professional sports pitches and the 2,000m2 Spa La Manga Club. It also offers extensive activities for families including sport and dance academies. There are lots of bars and restaurants while access is via direct flights to Murcia or Alicante from more than 20 UK airports.
