Research has shown that learning becomes up to 80 per cent more effective if you combine a picture with a feeling.
You can optimise your time working on your movements by better understanding where your body is in space. This also increases the chance of the skill being retained so it’s well worth incorporating this in your future practice sessions.
Whichever part of the swing you’re working on, get into the position that feels right to you but then check it using either a mirror, a friend, or by videoing or photographing your swing on a smartphone.
Once you’ve established what the correct movements look like using a picture, rehearse them slowly with your eyes closed so you get a sense of what that body position feels like. Then you can take that feeling to the course with confidence, as TG Elite Pro Adrian Fryer explains in this Dream Round golf video tip.
