Drive for show, putt for dough. That’s what everyone tells you. And it’s not just a meaningless cliché. Having a great short game will lower your scores... fact. It’s all very well being able to bomb 300-yard drives but if you can’t get the ball in the hole, every drive is a waste of energy.
Part three of TG’s Love Your Clubs campaign focuses on your wedges and putter – the clubs that get your ball in the hole from 100 yards and in.
Adding an element of pressure to your putting practice helps to prepare you for nervy situations you find yourself in on the course.
This video tip from TG Elite Pro Noel Rousseau highlights a drills that will improve your stroke which you can then take to another practice hole and try a game that has an element of pressure. Both are sure to improve your putting on the course.
