Maintain The Inclination Of Your Spine

Maintain The Inclination Of Your Spine

rating is 0

TG User, 07 September 2009 11:46

If you've ever been given the advice to maintain your spine angle it might be worth having a quick look at this video to understand the 'how' behind the advice.  Taking that tip literally will undoubtedly lead to shorter and less accurate shots, do it correctly however and you might unlock a little extra distance. Curing a Shank

Curing a Shank

rating is 2.5

TG User, 10 August 2009 18:14

After playing for 20 years, although always a high handicapper, a few weeks ago I was playing my best golf for several years. Suddenly from nowhere I got a shank from a 3 and 4 iron. This has developed nicely and I now can acheive a shank with everything from a 3 iron to a lob wedge - and consistently too. ...

If you have a greenside pitch shot, it's very helpful to create a picture in your mind of where the ball needs to land. Check out this quick video that shows how I train myself to do this... By TG User - Paul Hobart

Improve Your Golf Swing Dramatically Using A Hand Held Fan

TG User, 23 June 2009 09:00

A funny thing happened to me yesterday, which when continued, produced some satisfying results for a personal golfing problem. It sounds idiotic to start with, but bear with me. It may well change your Golf Game for the better. Yesterday morning, here in China, my wife was making Mantou (steamed bread). Now she hates the heat and all that goes with ...

Good Follow Through = Good Ball Striking

Good Follow Through = Good Ball Striking

rating is 2

TG User, 27 April 2009 09:00

whilst playing with 3 different people at my local golf course last week i noticed that all 3 of them had a good downswing but had hardly any follow through after they hit the ball and this lead to poor ball striking and i gave all 3 the same tip which is to have a couple of practise swings focusing ...

Cleaning Irons

Cleaning Irons

rating is 3.5

TG User, 27 April 2009 09:00

Being a high handicap thrasher with the unenviable habit of digging up half the golf course during my round (to the annoyance of my clubs green-keepers), I inevitably finish my round with half the course embedded in the grooves of my irons. I’m aware my swing is like the mad axe-man and that to avoid clogging the grooves on my ...

Stay in the present

Stay in the present

rating is 5

TG User, 21 April 2009 09:00

Whilst playing in a medal a few weeks ago, I started strongly, teeing off the 11th hole at my home course. I was set to shoot a great score, but unfortunately I reached the 16th and everything went into meltdown. The problem was that I was thinking to much about holes still to come in the round and not about the current ...

Two Putting Tips

Two Putting Tips

TG User, 03 April 2009 01:52

My 2 tips to try and help others are simple, do not need aids and yet are effective and have positive results – I know as I have helped fellow members at our club who have watched what I am doing and have use the technique to improve themselves. Whilst on the putting practice area, only use one hand. (Left ...

Straighten That Slice

Straighten That Slice

rating is 2

TG User, 02 April 2009 01:52

A year or two back I strained the tendons in my right elbow when attempting to scoop ice cream out of a tub to serve at home! Although it did not prevent me from playing golf I could not lift heavy weights above my shoulder and occasionally my elbow would become uncomfortable when tired. Ibuprofen helped a bit. However when ...

Drive It Straight

Drive It Straight

TG User, 31 March 2009 09:52

If you're suffering from hitting slices or pulls with your driver, here's a great way to lower your scores. Assuming that you've got the grip, stance and ball position correct, start the backswing low and slow, keeping your right knee flexed and in position and your right elbow tucked-in against your right side. Now, here's the bit that's going to make ...

TG User, 24 March 2009 01:00

At best I am a 7 handicap, but one golf tip give to all my buddies who want to take up golf or who are struggling at address is this: Stand feet together, club in left hand, have the club centre of stance, the top of the grip pointed direct at naval, belly button...place right hand on club take proper grip, ...

Keep your head down when you putt

Keep your head down when you putt

TG User, 23 March 2009 09:40

If putting from within 10 feet and all your putts are pushed to the right then you are probably looking up to see where the ball is going as the club makes contact with the ball. Keep looking down until you hit the ball and followed through. By TG User - Patrick Smith

Improve Your Accuracy - Point Focus

Improve Your Accuracy - Point Focus

rating is 3

TG User, 23 March 2009 01:00

One of the best golf tips I have ever received was a great help to my driving. The tip is also so simple and obvious! When looking to focus on your drive, you should aim to be much more specific about your target. Don't just 'aim for the middle or the left side of the fairway. Pick out a specific ...

TG User, 19 March 2009 01:00

If you pull or pull slice like I did, here's a exercise to help eliminate that. You may be pulling your forward elbow in to your body instead of extending your forward arm.  Take your set up and then lift the club up about 2 feet above the ball. Now take a full swing extending your arm and "trowing the club toward ...

Slice Tip - Imagine A Clockface

Slice Tip - Imagine A Clockface

rating is 2.5

TG User, 16 March 2009 11:10

On the tee, or the fairway, imagine a clockface with your ball in the centre, take your backswing back at 4 o'clock, and hit through the ball at 10 o'clock. You cannot hit through 10 o'clock because the shoulders straighten the swing at impact and the ball flies down the middle. You may never slice again! By TG User - h w keene

Help for sweaty hands

TG User, 07 February 2009 10:57

Do you suffer from sweaty hands in the warmer summer months and struggle to keep a good grip on the club?
