With all the hype around Ping's new G20 series of woods and irons, it is easy to forget that the company started out life as a putter brand that invented the most popular putter head-shape of all time.
That history is celebrated in the new Ping Anser Milled Series putters where the original Anser head has been offered in a variety of weights and hosel styles.
But over the past 50 years while a few of the cosmetics and manufacturing processes have changed, the original shape and concept of the Anser putter has stayed the same. In the video below, current chairman and CEO of Ping John Solheim talks about the new putters paying tribute to the one his father Karsten created more than 50 years ago.
