One of the wonderful things about golf is that you can play it at virtually any age. A 65-year-old grandparent can compete against their 12-year-old grandchild, and all on a level playing field thanks to the handicap system.

There's also a fantastic variety in the ways that people find themselves playing golf; from starting young because family play to beginning later after playing other sports or when family commitments aren't so demanding, and all manner or ways in between.
