With over one thousand courses to choose from nationwide, you're really spoilt for choice when it comes to using that 2-FORE!-1 voucher entitling you to half-price green fees. So, once again, we thought we'd give you a helping hand...
*Hexham, Northumberland - A traditional parkland course on fast-draining land on the south side of the Tyne, Hexham is a tough enough test of golf to regularly host county events – yet, at 6,301 yards from the medal tees, it is enjoyable for club golfers of all standards. The greens are regularly among the best in the county and the views over the surrounding countryside are stunning.
*Leeds GC, West Yorks - Formerly known as Cobble Hall, is a quality 18-hole parkland course situated on the north side of Leeds. Its par of 69 is rarely beaten, even in scratch competitions. Only four miles from the centre of the city, the course has a distinctly rural feel.
*Bushey Hall, Herts - Well established golf course (it’s the oldest club in Hertfordshire) is set in 120 acres of mature wood and parkland. The holes are superbly designed and combine a good and varied mixture.
*The Mendip, Somerset - This venue in the heart of cider country is 960ft above sea level and is the highest point in the Mendips. It’s not long, but it’s tight and tricky and you’ll do well to keep it on the short stuff and to master the speedy, sloping greens.
*Royston, Herts - Set high on heathland with fine views and built on well-drained chalk, the 18 holes remain playable in all but the worst conditions.
*Whitekirk, Scotland - A great East Lothian heathland alternative to the more renowned links courses nearby. It has many changes in elevation – a real big dipper of a track with elevated tees, shelf greens and gorse lining many fairways.
