Just days after signing Gareth Maybin to its stable of staff players, Stuburt have announced the signing of his countryman Graeme McDowell, who will now be an ambassador for the brand.

Stuburt will announce details of their first ever apparel range in January 2010 and both Maybin and McDowell, currently ranked world no38 following his second-place finish in the Chevron World Challenge last week, will be wearing the brand on tour next season.

They join existing Stuburt ambassadors Darren Clarke and David Howell, who wear Stuburt shoes and rain gear.

Graeme Stevens, Stuburt’s managing director, commented: “We’re delighted to have signed a world top 50 and Ryder Cup player in Graeme McDowell. He fits the Stuburt brand perfectly and coupled with our launch into apparel market and other tour signings, demonstrates our intentions for 2010.”
