It may be at the heart of tractor country but the East Anglian town of Ipswich is a hotbed of 2-FORE!-1 golfing activity.

And that of course means that several courses in and around the town belong to 2-FORE!-1 and therefore offer half-price green fees - so long as you've got a 2-FORE!-1 voucher.

Pick of the bunch is almost certainly the superb James Braid heathland layout of Thorpeness which is in superb nick throughout the year as is nearby Ufford Park. Both, by the way, are excellent stay and play venues.

Meanwhile, you'll also discover some quality parkland golf at the likes of Suffolk G&CC, near Bury St Edmunds, the mature par-70 track of Rushmere and the modern par-72 layout at Hintlesham.
