Essex boasts some quality, top value-for-money 2-FORE!-1 courses and here's the cream of the crop - courses you can tackle for half-price provided you've got a 2-FORE!-1 voucher.
*The Essex G&CC - a cracking modern par-73 track that will test you all the way. Be warned, there are ten lakes and lots of strategically-placed bunkering to negotiate.
*Colchester GC - a well established parkland, designed by James Braid. Undoubtedly one of the best courses in Essex, and it has hosted several pro and amateur county tournaments over the years.
*Braintree GC - quality, mature par-70 parkland layout featuring the impressive combination of tight tree-lined fairways, water hazards and fast true greens.
* Five Lakes Hotel - excellent stay and play venue with two contrasting 18 hole courses in the shape of the Lakes and Links layouts, supported by a luxury on-site Crowne Plaza hotel.
*Benton Hall - another impressive modern venue, the main par-72 layout is backed-up by a nine-hole par-3. The main track is a challenging parkland course set amongst natural woodland and rolling countryside with the river Blackwater meandering throughout.
