Justin Rose is looking forward to a good night's sleep after putting himself in contention at Carnoustie.

The 26-year-old shot a 67 to end up at one under after three rounds. He is now just six shotss off the lead. But he's not overly anxious. "I sleep well the night before a final round of a Major these days."

Rose said he had first dreamt of winning The Open when he was seven years old. For that dream to come true he'll have to go low tomorrow. Garcia has only played two holes but he has the chance to pull away. But the weather is getting rose nand Rose can only hope the leaders drop a few shots as conditions deteriorate.

Rose added: "I don't have a number in mind that I would like to shoot tomorrow. Another 67 would be great, but it all depends on the weather and what the players end up shooting today. You can't really force birdies out of this course."
