Everybody loves playing par 3s. They're short but usually sweet...but very often downright tough and demanding.
First looks can deceive and there's no doubt par 3s can lull golfers into a deadly false sense of security. They can be serious card wreckers and in the October issue of Today's Golfer we'll be revealing Britain's most fearsome short uns.
We expect Carnoustie's intimidating 245 yards 16th to be in contention and it is likely to cause a fair bit of havoc in this month's Open Championship, the raised green being well guarded by some deep bunkers.
TG readers will have a big say in the final result to find the UK's Toughest Par 3 but this is your last chance to come up with your nominations so if there's a particular par 3 that has given you serious grief let Courses Editor Kevin Brown know where and why at: kevin.brown@emap.com
We'll then play and rate the three most nominated holes before finally handing over the UK's Toughest Par 3 crown...
