Spot of bunker bother in Florida

There's been some fun and games down on the driving range at this week's Transitions Championship at Innisbrook Golf Resort, near Tampa, Florida.

So much so that the voluntary team of range workers would be justified in asking for danger money...

The thing is the main practice bunker is directly in line with the range workers' HQ and somewhat surprisingly, considering the quality of the pros sand play, there's been a number of nearmisses.

I've witnessed both Boo Weekley and Tim Herron literally blast out of the bunker, their misdirected balls heading for the volunteers canopy-come-shelter swiftly followed by cries of Fore!

And former US Open champ Lee Janzen admitted to me last night that he was guilty of doing the same thing. Fortunately, on each occasion, nobody got injured with only the pros pride slightly hurt.
