Mizuno have long been known for making terrific better-player irons with great feel but with the new MP53 irons they have tried to include an element of forgiveness as well.

They were determined to keep the better-player looks and profile that Mizuno fans have become accustomed to while still making them the most playable and forgiving MP irons in their history.

In the video below some of Mizuno's top R&D guys explain the thinking behind the design of the MP53s as well as the technology involved - including Harmonic Impact Technology, which is essentially the frequency of vibrations in the head when the ball is struck.
