Traditional driving irons may be a thing of the past but Mizuno's new MP Fli Hi is the modern equivalent, designed to be a direct long iron replacement in any better-player's set.

The MP Fli Hi is available in 2, 3 and 4 iron lofts and has been designed following feedback with Mizuno's tour players who wanted a forgiving, yet still completely playable, long iron replacement.

This is essentially a hybrid club for better players who prefer the traditional look of an iron. It features a hot metal face and a hollow construction for an extremely high COR (springlike effect off the face).

The hollow frame also lowers the centre of gravity meaning they are much easier to hit than traditional long irons and produce a higher, penetrating ball flight.

If all of this sounds good to you then you might be ready to rush out and buy one. But before you do, take a look at the video below. TG Equipment Editor David Connor and Joel Tadman, TG Instruction Editor, have had the MP Fli Hi out on the range to test the claims.
