Mizuno have long been known for their stunning irons but the MX-700 wood range has been making big waves recently, including the MX-700 fairway wood.

So does it deserve the praise?

Well, the hot metal steel face is Mizuno's thinnest to date, which allows weight to be distributed elsewhere in the head to lower the centre of gravity and increase forgiveness.

The result is supposed to be a club that is easy to hit and hard to get wrong and therefore it sounds perfect for TG's equipment editor David Connor and features writer Kit Alexander.
