Macmillan Longest Day event raises nearly £370,000!

The annual Longest Day Golf Challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support has once again proved a major all-round success.
The top four teams played for the overall Challenge Trophy at the grand final staged at the superb Boavista Golf Resort in Portugal, Tempus Est Ludendi emerging the deserved victors.
However, even more significantly, the event raised a fantastic £367,000 which will go a long way to helping people affected by cancer.
The final result was:
1st: Tempus Est Ludendi
2nd: The Trips
3rd: HGC European Dream Team
4th: The Chanonry Divots
It was a glorious weekend with fabulous golf and hospitality and Macmillan would like to thank the hosting venue and other sponsors Today's Golfer and Golf World magazines and Monarch airlines for supporting the 2011 challenge.
