Just when you thought Nike drivers couldn't get any cooler, they do! This is the new Nike SQ Dymo big dog and it looks like it's going to be a big hit. The Dymo (which stands for Dynamic Moment of Inertia) will effectively replace the Sumo range that has been so successful.
Nike SQ Dymo STR8-FIT driver
The big talking point is bond to be Nike Golf's incredible new adjustable STR8-FIT model. This revolutionary driver is taking driver adjustability to an incredible new level with eight different settings to choose from. You can tweak the club to be up to 2 degrees closed or 2 degrees open, giving golfers an unprecedented choice of ball flights. There are different lie angles too which will allow golfers of different heights to find the best set up possible.
The STR8-FIT version is available in a traditional rounded head (DYMO) and square version (DYMO 2) and will cost £360. Further shaft options may also be available in due course. You'll soon be able to check out our video for exclusive first hits!
Nike SQ Dymo drivers
For those just wanting a standard head, Nike have non-adjustable versions of the new drivers and these will replace the successful SUMO range. Looks wise, the Dymo is a little classier than its predecessor (in our opinion), with the colouring somewhat toned down.
There isn't as much yellow as there was on the Sumo, and the crown of the club looks less two-toned than the previous medal.
And in terms of technology, the Dymo is packed full of goodness! For instance, the SQ Dymo2 (square version) has weight placed deep into the corners off the head to offer great stability and forgiveness while the round version of the club provides more precise feel, control and workability!
INFORMATION: The standard Nike SQ Dymo drivers will retail at £250 and should be on sale in October.
