Golf World Expert Review
Every one of the 112 bunkers on the course has a story to tell, and most of them have names given to them. The course is home to the most famous golf hole in the world, the 17th or Road Hole, which is also the only hole in golf to have an entire book devoted to it.The Old Course takes time to appreciate, and many great players have not liked what they've seen on their first visit.
Today's Golfer Expert Review
On the first tee, with the widest fairway in golf stretching out in front if you, the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. Playing at St Andrews, with the Royal and Ancient clubhouse and the Auld Grey Toon as the backdrop, is a magical, awesome feeling. The views may not be mountainous or of oceans stretching as far as the eye can see, but more landmarks of golf history – that imposing clubhouse, the Swilken Burn, the Road Hole Bunker, the Valley of Sin. You'll never play football at Old Trafford, or tennis on Wimbledon's centre court... but you can play at St Andrews.
