Sunderland’s new jacket uses nanoplus fabric, which is created by impregnating specially developed nanoparticles in the fabric, which increases strength and durability of the fibres so liquids ‘bead up’ and roll off the jacket. Sunderland say this is preferable to waterproofing treatments on top of the fabric, because they eventually wear off.
