Review from the magazine

Last year’s winner in this category was outdone by its more expensive Hippo Hex cousin. Although the XXL is a great-looking club for the price, we found it a little unforgiving and harsh off its deep face with carry distance often lacking. Although our pro managed a respectable 270-yard average carry, it was the shortest on test by a whisker.
Pro Verdict: Didn’t feel too solid for me and lacked carry distance but I still feel the club would perform well for slower swingers.
Tester Comments: “Very deep face but not a bad choice for the price”... “Great for the money and the deep face looks good behind the ball”... “Felt like a brick”.
