Nike’s Machspeed driver was phenomenal because of its superb length – but the new version might just be even better. The black clubhead makes it look sheer class but the main benefit comes from the improved aerodynamics – Nike Golf engineers looked at the position of the clubhead through the full swing and designed the club accordingly, meaning less drag and greater distance. And Nike's STR8-FIT technology allows the option of eight face positions from 2° closed to 2° open to suit all styles of golfer.

Comments: The TG Gear Team thought the new Machspeed Black might go well when it came to the test and we weren’t disappointed. Nike have always been first at destroying traditional barriers in design of sports products, and with this driver it was all about reducing the amount of drag a driver head generates so more speed and therefore distance can be achieved.
Jon got on particularly well with the product, raving about the look of the head the feel it generated. But it wasn’t just the subjective categories where it performed for our man, as he notched up his longest average carry of the Test, with 248 yards being recorded.
Bryan thought it was an incredibly easy club to hit and a tight consistency rate from both him and Jon suggested this was a forgiving beast.
It’s also worth knowing that if you were a fan of the square-headed drivers that were more popular than a crap Premiership referee a few years ago, Nike still offer a square option.
