Comments: The R11 was comfortably the most-eagerly awaited driver in recent times and with TaylorMade’s army of Tour Professionals all over the world spreading the White message, it’s presence in the game seems already well-established, despite only being launched in recent months.
The white head was engineered to help alignment, but this is only one small part of the story. The face angle can be adjusted by tinkering (it’s ridiculously straight-forward) with the Sole Plate, while the loft can be adjusted to by using the Flight Control technology. Finally, TaylorMade’s Movable Weight Technology completes the innovation triumvirate, making this one of the most adjustable products on the market.
Darren loved the “race car” looks and he also rated it pretty highly in terms of feel too, with only a slightly disappointing consistency rate pulling it down. He liked the look at address too.
Chris was similarly impressed, and said although it was obviously a different look, this wouldn’t stop him buying one if he was in the market for a new driver. He also said that it offered all the usual feel you’d associate with a TaylorMade driver.
Bryan said once he’d got used to the look of the head, he felt it was a great product and Jon was also impressed.
As you’d expect from a TaylorMade product, it was highly impressive. The white head isn’t as off-putting as you might first imagine, and the results peak for themselves. The adjustability on the new product has evolved once again and TaylorMade continue to produce products that millions of golfers all over the world will benefit from.
