The Tour Burner is TaylorMade’s new beast for 2008 and a complete redesign from last year’s Burner. Everything has been designed to reduce weight in crucial areas and create an incredibly low CG for the ultimate high launch and low spin flight combo. Visually, the dual crown is striking with a large sole inspiring confi dence behind the ball and the beautifully designed shape and graphics giving it a real touch of quality. TaylorMade claim this is one of their longest and most forgiving drivers with an extremely high MOI and outstanding performance on off-centre hits. All our testers found it easy to hit and our pro stats were textbook, only a yard away from the longest average carry on test.

Pro Verdict: An outstanding club which feels really easy to hit consistently straight. I love the curvy shape of the head and ball-fl ight and distance were very impressive.
