In order to provide the optimal launch conditions, the DXi uses trajectory control to allow golfers to get the best out of their game, regardless of handicap. Engineers have designed weight pads that are positioned in different locations dependent on the ability of the player. Drivers with either 8˚ or 9˚ havde weight low in the head to keep spin down, but the higher lofted drivers have the weight positioned further towards the back of the clubhead for a higher launch and more distance through carry.

Tested: March 2011
Test Team:
Chris Ryan (Pro)
Jon Greathead (HCP 8)
Bryan Slater (HCP 12)
Darren Slater (HCP 16)
Verdict:
While Jon found this easy to use, forgiving and long, the others weren’t quite as successful.
Chris agreed it was pretty forgiving, and he also fired in a tight collection of balls, but Darren and Bryan struggled and neither were that fussy on the aesthetics.
Golfers can choose to have different amounts of weight positioned in the head - if you struggle for distance and lose a lot in the carry, you can opt for a 10g rubber insert in the head which moves the centre of gravity further back, which leads to a higher launch.
