The Benross VT Xtreme fairway wood is consistent but unremarkable in all categories. Benross produce two lofts of 3-woods, a 15˚ model for players with a higher swing speed and 3-MAX 18˚ for lower swing speeds. This went down well with our team: pro Chris liked the head size and – apart from a little lack of feel – the performance of the 15˚ model, while the 18˚ head was enjoyed by our amateur testers. And although this was more like a 5-wood in terms of loft, with a head the size of a 3-wood it was a hit off the tee and the fairway.
