We’re the first to admit Cleveland’s new CG Red irons with their Red gel cavity inserts look a bit wacky. But see past this and they’re actually a golf club set which turn in a really solid performance.

The golf club heads have been designed to look really strong and powerful behind the ball which we feel is a look better players will enjoy. We really warmed to the pleasant sound at impact which was different to others and the excellent ball flight which kept boring forward instead of ballooning up.

The compact golf club heads mean shots can be shaped and worked around the golf course as the centre of gravity is nearer the face. That’s perfect for those who find themselves hitting lots of feel shots and attempting to shape shots into tucked pins.
The final feather in the Cleveland CG Red's cap has to be how we didn’t need to work too hard to get excellent results. We attacked shots aggressively without any tendency to dig the turf, safe in the knowledge there was a decent-sized cavity to fight mishits.
