Our testers spend some time debating whether or not the FB2.3s were quite as forgiving Benross’s VX-2is before deciding it didn’t really matter: like the VX2is, these are great value, decently made clubs that are easy to recommend to serious golfers of almost any standard (although total beginners might want to look out for clubs with a more oversized heads). Further proof that you don’t have to pay £500 for nine high-class irons.

Verdict: Sound performance, good value.
