In our opinion, this is where club golfers should be spending their money, instead of on a 7-wood that can only hit one shot. As club golfers, we will always find some pretty nasty spots off the fairway, but the Cleveland HALO has more answers than a slippery politician. Moving weight lower and deeper in the head helps the golf club hit higher-flighted, softer-landing shots. It also lets you dig balls out of lies where you would normally be reaching for a wedge. We’ve championed the Cleveland HALO before and we’re doing it again, because it’s difficult to fault, despite a raft of new alternatives. Though we only tested the 22-degree version, plenty of loft options mean you can replace difficult-to-hit long irons and bag yourself a powerful alternative to fairway woods in the 16 and 19-degree options.
