If putting from within 10 feet and all your putts are pushed to the right then you are probably looking up to see where the ball is going as the club makes contact with the ball. Keep looking down until you hit the ball and followed through. By TG User - Patrick Smith

For anyone looking for their first set of golf clubs, The Sports HQ is a site worth visiting. I bought a set of Ram Demons from there for £70. It came with 3, 4 and 5 steel shafted woods with covers. 6 - SW irons. The only things I didn't get were a driver, putter or bag but those could be ...

Say goodbye to clogged groove and dirty clubhead misery with this handy tip! Use car wheel cleaner: spray on, leave for a bit and then rinse off with minimum scrubbing. This removes mud, all grass and blood stains. It also brings that just bought appearance back to your clubheads. Available from a Halfords near you (although Tesco's own brand works just ...

When putting I always make sure that my ball is toward the front of my stance. This helps give the ball a true roll and prevents it jumping about. I also make sure that i do the same pre-putt set-up every time to get into a good habit. When putting downhill, I don't hit the ball out of the centre of ...

If your putting is awful, simply try changing different elements of your setup to see how it affects your swing. For example, try a different putter, go left below right, look at the hole not the ball, go left handed, alter your stance etc. You cannot get any worse but you may find a more succesful stroke. Don't be scared ...

As a 14 handicapper my game relies on long straight(ish) driving. This 'Blam or Bust' tactic has developed at the cost of my mid and long iron shots. With little more than a nine iron or a wedge into par four greens, I found my confidence in my mid to long iron play had evaporated. With the invention of new driver technology ...

My swing nightmare causes a block to the right or sometimes even worse - the dreaded slice. This is a timing error as my body gets ahead of the ball, causing the clubface to be open at impact. I've found if I'm properly coiled in the backswing and I keep my chin touching my shoulder just for a moment longer, make ...

if you have an important match to play give the DIY a miss. Manual labour and particularly using power tools that vibrate heavily can leave your arm and shoulder muscles tense for days to come, playing havoc with your swing, particularly those touch shots around the green. Next challenge is to convince those who should be obeyed that you have ...
