Developed by Tiger Woods, the stinger shot is essential on links courses. The main aim of a stinger shot is to keep the ball low for a steady and accurate strike.

Driving the ball off the tee straight down the fairway can be difficult, especially in head wind conditions.

Tee peg and ball position as well as a lower grip on the club will help to ensure a successful drive.  PGA professional Dan Frost demonstrates these points in this golf instruction video.
