Rescue Shots

Lie detector... Think about the type of golf shot you NEED to play, as Nick Bradley shows.

Step One:
You need to become an expert at reading your lies. You must assess how much grass is around the ball. Of course, you would like to shoot up the fairway as far as possible but it is important that you don’t create more problems for yourself by trying too hard.

Step Two:
Technique: Lean the body forward in a braced position ahead of the ball. Using your hand, hold the club at your sternum and let the shaft point to floor, the shaft should be pointing approximately one inch ahead of your ball.

Step Three:
Your positioning should bang down on the ball, lifting it out of trouble. Kick your right knee in a little, go ahead and play your shot.
