I have tryed different grips in my time, but the best tip I ever got was from watching a tip from Lee Trivino. You have to remember what you do with your left hand on the club (Right hander) will influence the club head. Most people believe as they get older you move your hands to the right to keep from losing distance. This is a mistake because you wind up duckhooking the ball most of the time. So you start with the left thumb down the shaft, then put your right hand on the club with a very weak grip hooking your forefinger over the shaft. You might hit balls right for a while, but this teaches you to release the club for more clubhead speed. When you make your backswing you must extend your backswing as far back away from the ball without losing your balance then take the club up for a bigger arc.If you are manufacturing a backswing, picking the club up you will be able to touch the clubhead when it is waist high when you take your left hand off the club. #1You must start the backswing with your left shoulder. #2 You must take the straight away the ball as far as you can (Bigger arc). You cannot touch the club head when you remove your left hand halfway or waist high. The head of the club will be to far from your left hand.On the downswing imagine a baseball diamond out in front of your ball.Swing to where the 2nd baseman normally plays. If you swing to 12:00 oclock you will pull the ball to the left.If you do it right the ball will go straight or have a little draw. You can buy the most expensive set of golf clubs. This will not help your swing.Always set up to the ball with right shoulder lower than left. This helps you to stay inside out for a solid hit. Thank you
