Play your tee shot as a free shot and par the ball in from whereever it lands. So relax on the tee, just take an iron or a utility and get the ball on the fairway. Don't try to beat it as far as you can. Easy club, gentle swing, middle of the fairway,par it in, bogey golf, 18 handicap.
