Two Putting Tips

My 2 tips to try and help others are simple, do not need aids and yet are effective and have positive results – I know as I have helped fellow members at our club who have watched what I am doing and have use the technique to improve themselves.
Whilst on the putting practice area, only use one hand. (Left if you are right handed) It feels strange to start, but when you actually start getting the club face back and through the stroke your feel and length will improve and you will find that the ball never falls short as you are making the conscious effort to get the putter head through the ball. The stroke becomes more fluent and your feel will improve.
The other little tip is to leave a ¼ to 1/2 “ gap between the ball and the putter face as again this promotes the stroke to complete as you “need to close the gap” My putting has improved from the regular 3 putt to a more consistent 2 with so many more dropping at the first attempt.
I have found that these 2 simple drills along with lining the ball name up with the hole, have dramatically helped with my confidence and ability to being able to consistently 2putt better.
Keep up the great work with for the great Mag!
