Many amateur golfers, scared of thinning the ball through the green, present too much shaft lean at address in attempt to create a descending blow on the ball in the downswing. But this often gets overdone, leading to fat shots and inconsistent amounts of spin being generated.

This one-armed drill will help you bring the correct shaft lean back to the ball at impact, meaning you’ll have better distance control stemming from a more consistent strike.
