Don't be fooled into thinking a shank is a horror shot that just creeps into your long game - it can filter down to your short game too!

The shanked chip is often the consequence of a bad address. If the shoulders sit too far open at address, the right elbow tucked in close to the side, the club is forced to rotate around the body. It's then thrown outwards to strike the shot.

The result is a disasterous connection and a chip shot that shoots straight right! Luckily help is at hand. TG Top 12 Teacher Lee Scarbrow has an easy fix.
