The Leicestershire

A superb parkland course that is always in wonderful condition with the best greens in the county. With several testing par 4s my home course is always a challenge. Currently undergoing several subtle changes aimed to make the playing experience even better.

Longcliffe

Set in beautiful countryside, Longcliffe has a great variety of holes that will keep you interested throughout your round. A tough but fair course that is dif cult to overpower.

Charnwood forest

Charnwood Forest 

Only nine holes but a real little gem. Although bunkerless the course is a real test. Has some of the best views off the tees in the county and the friendliest members. Plenty of heather and bracken to negotiate.

Luffenham Heath

Open-qualifying heathland course that is always in great condition and provides a challenging test of golf with a memorable downhill par 3 and a classic par 5 to nish.

Willesley Park

A lovely mature parkland course that has some beautiful winding holes. A lot of variety including a shared green and a tough nishing stretch.

Birstall

Relatively short but tight with plenty of good birdie chances if you hit the fairway. The small greens are well protected.

Kibworth

Another shortish course with plenty of obstacles protecting it. Has a couple of severe dog-legs that favour the brave and the fortunate. Has a meandering brook that features on many holes. Green fees: From £20 midweek, £22 weekends. Tel: 0116 279 2301.

Stapleford Park

Set in the magni cent grounds of a Country House, Stapleford is a superb lengthy course. It gives the impression of being very open but play it and you’ll discover it has many strategically-placed hazards.

Kirby Muxloe

A wonderful mixture of holes that keep you on your toes throughout including the cracking par-5 17th, guarded by a wide expanse of water (and fountain) just before the green. The greens are very true.

Rothley Park

A lovely, well-designed course with super greens. Has many different holes and varying lengths and if you’re lucky you may even spot the steam train going by.
