CLUB COMMENT: Redesigned the front of the par-3 7th, so now there is a lake extending around the green where there used to be a bunker. The 11th green was redesigned about a year ago – it was pushed further back, adding 50-60 yards.

Amateur legend Peter McEvoy told us: “I’d never have considered it as one of my top courses before. It was quite muddy and raw. But I played it recently and it was in magnificent condition. I don’t think I’ve seen a course improve so much.”
