Mowsbury Golf & Squash Complex

What we say

A great course for beginners. It’s quite open and not too long but it’s still a challenge.

The design is pretty good and there’s a good mix of holes. But it won’t intimidate you and if you can get it off the tee well, good scores are there for the taking.

It can get a bit boggy in the winter, but normally it’s in good condition and it is very good value for money.

Mowsbury Golf & Squash Complex is the ideal location to enjoy a round of golf, being located on the outskirts of Bedford and bounded by Mowsbury Park and open countryside. The splendid undulating 18-hole golf course offers a fair challenge to both beginners and low handicap players alike with strategically-placed ponds, ditches and bunkers waiting to claim any wayward shots. There's plenty to keep golfers interested and on their toes throughout, including four testing par 3s.

For a pay and play this course really isn't bad. The fairways, greens and tee's are in excellent condition. The course is good fun to play, there are some wide fairways to encourage a smash with the big stick, also a few tricky par 3's. Better players may find some of the holes less challenging but the condition of the course and the parkland layout still makes for a good round of golf. Be sure to book as the course can get very busy.
