Abbeydale Golf Club

Everyone associated with Abbeydale can rightly feel proud of the outstanding club we have today. Recognised as one of the district's finest, the course was designed by the famous architect Herbert Fowler, also renowned for other such designs as Walton Heath and The Berkshire. Set in the beautiful Beauchief Estate, it provides a memorable golfing experience for players of all handicaps and retains some of the best views of the Derbyshire countryside to be seen anywhere from Sheffield. 

In recent years the course has benefitted from the installation of a new fairway drainage system, allowing play when other courses have been closed in adverse weather conditions . It is renowned for its manicured appearance undulating greens and beautiful views and surroundings. Fowlers design ethos of strategy and reward are apparent. The continued improvement of our course and club house has not arisen purely by chance, however: just as in the days of our founding fathers, successive generations of Abbeydale members have given their time and honest endeavour towards the betterment of our club.
